Caroline Duncan most recently designed Molly Smith Metzler and Lucky Chap’s series Sirens for Netflix, starring Julianne Moore, Meghann Fahy and Kevin Bacon; and Legendary’s upcoming film Animal Friends, directed by Peter Atencio, and starring Ryan Reynolds, Jason Momoa, Aubrey Plaza and Dan Levy. In 2024 her work was seen in the Starz series 3 Women, adapted from Lisa Taddeo’s novel, and M. Night Shyamalan’s film Trap for Universal.
Duncan graduated from Yale University with a degree in English, and subsequently earned an MA in Fashion Studies from Parsons School of Design. She started in the costume department working on such films as American Gangster, 27 Dresses, War of the Worlds, and Little Children. Duncan has designed multiple televisions series, including Showtime’s critically acclaimed drama The Affair, Ava Duvernay’s series for Netflix When They See Us, and Shyamalan’s Apple TV series Servant. Her film credits include multiple collaborations with Shyamalan (Trap, Old, Knock at the Cabin); Kat Coiro’s Marry Me, starring Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson; J.C. Chandor’s Oscar®-nominated film, Margin Call, James Ponsoldt’s Off the Black; and Dare, directed by Adam Salky, featuring Emmy Rossum and Rooney Mara.
Duncan has both US and South African citizenship, and lives in New York with her twin sons.
